The 1941 Cadillac Convertible Coupe is a rare “Full Classic” as defined by Classic Car Club of America and is a welcome and desired entrant in their club events and CARavan tours. The iconic Harley Earl design was new for 1941, but is unique in that it was the only year with the handsome “blind quarter” design.
Chassis 8362735 was the subject of a nut and bolt restoration to concours standards that was completed in 2004. The impeccable work is not only evident upon inspection, but was extensively photographed and prints accompany the car today. The attention to detail is simply extraordinary as evidenced by small details such as a correctly dated windshield. Options are what really set onc Cadillac apart from another and this one is loaded with most of the list including the highly desirable three-speed manual transmission and painted instrument panel.
The body panels are straight, the gaps are uniform and the deep black paint is beautiful against the burgundy leather interior. The black Haartz cloth top is snug fitting and in excellent condition. All electrical systems, mechanical systems and accessory options have been meticulously restored, and every system and option functions properly. The engine is whisper quiet, does not overheat, and the car cruises effortlessly at highway speeds. A 6-volt electric fuel pump is hidden underneath and integrated with the factory mechanical fuel pump to provide for exceptional reliability.
This rust-free CCCA Full Classic has traveled 505 miles since restoration and consequently offers the discerning buyer the option of an exceptionally reliable tour car or a high point concours show car.
